While gyms across the country bombard the masses with deals, promises and guilt, the JCC takes a different approach to fitness. We don't just want to see you in January, but in the months and years to follow. It's about figuring out the best way for each JCC member to achieve his or her fitness goals.
The JCC fitness staff can help you get 2013 off to a great start, but we know there might be a tough week or two when enthusiasm wanes and real life gets in the way of your resolve. We've got that covered too with group fitness classes — intense to low-impact, early morning to evening and everything in between. The JCC also has a talented group of personal trainers. There's yoga, pool workouts, indoor cycling, boot camp and more! For those times you just need a little extra motivation, our popular monthlong Shape Up Challenge returns in April. Shape Up is free to JCC members and includes special Boot Camp and Pilates classes and personalized guidance.
Whether you enjoy a solitary workout with your headphones cranked up, an hour on the treadmill watching an HD TV, sweating alongside your friends in a group fitness class or the intensity of a Garage Gym workout, the JCC has something for you in 2013.

Newcomers to the JCC can sometimes be surprised to find such a extensive & stunning health & fitness facility. For our regulars, they know it's a hidden gem filled with top-notch professional instructors, challenging classes, gleaming facilities & options for just about every interest & ability.
It's a also a place to feel comfortable, where you can find a connection with instructors & classmates alike. We eschew the typical gym mentality, where the facilities may be cavernous & instructors have little patience for the novice. Everyone is welcome at the JCC — from the elite athlete, to someone simply looking for a way to shed a few pounds. And we're here to help, encourage & motivate.
