Center Specialist
Applications are now being accepted for "Center Specialist" positions at the Front and Fitness Desk. We are looking to interview immediately and hire and begin training the last week of December or Early January. Qualified candidates must be friendly, outgoing and energetic individuals who can provide the highest level of service to our members and guests. If you are a "people-person" and would enjoy working with the public on a day-to-day basis, we would like to meet you. As a Customer Service Representative of the Jewish Community Center you have the opportunity to make a great first impression on first-time visitors and potential members. Simultaneously you will expand our relationship with current JCC members.
Available Shifts:
Weekend Shifts (Saturday and Sunday) 9 AM - 1 PM, and 1 - 5 PM
Some evening and weekend work is required. Mandatory staff meeting will take place once a month on a Sunday evening
Hours & Compensation:
We are looking to fill this position and start training immediately. This is a part-time position. $10/HR, additional shift differential of $1/hour for early morning provided (6 AM - 10 AM). Individual Membership to the JCC and program discounts included with employment. Come use our workout facility, basketball gym, pool, and enjoy all the JCC has to offer.
The ideal candidate for this position has:

Duties include:
- Greeting and assisting JCC members and guests
- Collecting admission fees and providing security
- Maintaining thorough knowledge of JCC programs and offerings
- Answering phones
- Selling products and services
- Enforcing health guidelines with members of the JCC
- Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the fitness area.

Lifeguard
Requirements:
- Must be Red Cross certified in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prevent accidents, incidents, and other hazardous issues
- Provide customer service to all patrons and members
- Cleaning duties/Chemical testing as assigned
- Enforcement of rules
- Understand rules, policies, and procedures as stated in the lifeguard manual as well as how to respond to any and all emergencies
- Respond to all emergencies;
- Life-threatening
- Non-life-threatening
- Assist fellow staff in tasks
- All other assorted minor jobs assigned by the Aquatics Head Guards/Supervisor
Expectations:
- Arrive prepared for all shifts
- On time (15 minutes before assigned shift) and in uniform
- Submit availability, vacation requests, and payroll approval in timely manner according to protocols listed in lifeguard manual
- Maintain the highest level of personal conduct, and representation of the Wagner JCC
COVID-19 Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand the changes made in emergency response protocols in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
- Wear a mask at all times, as well as, keeping a 6 foot distance from everyone while in the building, guarding and on the pool deck.
- Proper sanitization and cleaning duties of all equipment and benches.
