POSITION REQUIREMENT
As a lifeguard at the Jewish Community Center, you will provide our members and guests with the highest level of customer service while ensuring their safety by making sure they know and follow all pool rules. This position requires a valid Lifeguarding certification (which we can provide), ability to sit outside in various weather conditions, and perform cleaning duties as assigned.
Compensation:
- $15/hr + (depending on lifeguard experience and years guarding)

As a swim instructor you will have the opportunity to work with children and adults of all ages and skill levels to teach the fundamentals of swimming, as well as the skills needed to be safe around water. Instructors must be friendly, social, and energetic individuals who can effectively communicate with all age groups. Required to be able to spend longer periods of time on feet and in the water. All instructors must have a valid swim instructor certification, but we are able to train and certify you if you do not have one.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Instruct swimming and aquatics safety in a private, semi-private, or group setting

- Work closely with the entire aquatics team to ensure the safety of all participants

Children's Programming
After-School Driver & Counselor (late August through the end of May)
The Jewish Community Center is currently hiring Afterschool Care staff to work during the 2023-2024 school year. Club J is an after-school program for elementary-aged children. Each day children are picked up at their school by JCC vehicles and driven back to the Jewish Community Center. Children are given a snack and guided through activities such as art projects, science experiments, games, and cooking.

Summer Camp Junior and Senior Counselors for Bernie Camp
Summer Camp Counselors for Bernie Camp
Bernie Camp is a 10-week day camp for school-aged children and is located at the Jewish Community Center. Each week the children attend swimming lessons, art class, sports, Israeli culture, workshops, and go on a field trip. Counselors accompany and participate in all of these activities with their groups. They provide social and emotional support to their campers. Groups are all-gender and divided by age.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Health & Fitness (H&F) Coordinator will support the H&F Manager with daily operations of the department based on this position’s part-time schedule. This hands-on position is responsible for the cleanliness, organization, operation, and maintenance of all H&F facility spaces and equipment, while supporting tools and technology that streamline programs and services including but not limited to: MindBody, Daxko Operations, Les Mills Virtual Scheduler, etc.
This is a highly visible position requiring relationship building and regular availability to members and staff, attendance at all relevant meetings and JCC functions. This position may also play a role in development as it relates to the H&F Department and/or the JCC as a whole. Ideally this role is for a health and fitness enthusiast with passion and experience to balance the aspects of a H&F Coordinator position with opportunity to become multi-faceted in our personal training/instructing teams – in a part-time capacity. Hours worked during the week as H&F Coordinator cannot exceed 29 hours per week, including any time spent training/instructing/subbing if applicable.

- Completion of nationally recognized CPR/First Aid/ AED certification
- High level of experience with Swedish Massage, Deep Muscular Massage, and Sports Massage
- Ability to perform additional therapeutic practices with national accredited certifications preferred (ie: Prenatal Massage, Reflexology, Hot Stone, Craniosacral Therapy, Lymphatic, Energy Work, Acupressure • Two years of similar experience as an LMT or MT Student enrolled in an accredited program preferred

PROFESSIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administers the Center’s emergency and/or injury procedures as required
- Meets and communicates with clients prior to beginning their session(s) and delivering massage therapy based on the clients’ needs and wants
- Manages client Intake Assessment and liability/medical release forms as needed
- Ensures each client’s session is recorded and progress notes are accurately documented as needed
- Designs structured, sequential, and progressive massage therapy services for repeat clients
- Assesses each client’s progress and results by providing ongoing guidance and encouragement
- Develops information handouts and instructional materials as needed
- Ensures client confidentiality is maintained
OTHER REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS
- Proficiency in using JCC scheduling system for MT space booking
- Completion of a child abuse registry and criminal record check
- Implements proper sanitation and cleaning duties of all equipment, props and areas used
- Offer LMT services at JCC events when possible in collaboration with the H&F Team

As a Customer Service Representative of the Jewish Community Center working in the Fitness area, candidates must be friendly and energetic individuals who are comfortable with physical activity and will make our Fitness area shine. *Availability to sub for any shifts listed above.
Hours & Compensation:
- This is a part-time position with a maximum of 29 Hours/Week
- $15.00/HR. (All hours prior to 10 AM paid $16/HR Mon-Friday)
- You will receive discounts on programming and a JCC Membership for yourself as well as one for an additional adult of your choice
- Use of workout facility, group fitness classes, basketball gym, pool, and all the JCC has to offer
Duties include:
- Greeting and assisting JCC members and guests
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of JCC Health & Fitness and Aquatics programs and offerings
- Answering phones and transferring calls
- Selling products and services
- Enforcing health guidelines with members of the JCC
- Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the Fitness areas
- Additional tasks and duties as required by the Health and Fitness Department
- Mandatory staff meetings will take place once every 4-6 weeks
