2020 shalom at home agenda V3 1920x1080 no register

Join us for our Virtual Paddle Raise as part of Shalom at Home! This is one of our favorite parts of Shalom, and we're looking forward to continuing it this year. Plus - we'll announce the winners of our Big Opportunity and Golden Ticket drawings! A portion of the funds raised at our Virtual Paddle Raise go toward the JCC Scholarship Fund.

RSVP for Virtual Paddle Raise

Shalom is the JCC's annual fundraiser, helping us maintain our Scholarship Program as well as helping us fill the gap between what members pay in dues and tuition, and the cost of running the JCC. We hope that you will continue to support this effort, in its new format for 2020. J-Tumblers, Golden Opportunity, and Big Opportunity Tickets are still available, and can be purchased online

This year our auction has moved online! To get started, text SHALOM to 71760, and our Text2Bid system will walk you through the rest. You can browse our 300 auction items now - bidding begins June 1 at 9 AM!

Wear your color logo

Irene Tannenbaum bw web

We are celebrating the late Irene Tannenbaum, JCC member, supporter, Shalom on the Range devotee and friend. A runway model and fashionista, Irene took delight in sharing her knowledge of fashion, educating others on colors that would empower them. Honor Irene and her zest for life by wearing your color at this year’s Shalom on the Range.

A portion of the funds raised at Shalom on the Range goes toward the JCC Scholarship Fund:

  • Annual Scholarship Program: This past year we awarded more than $110,000 in financial assistance to low-income families allowing 47 children to attend summer camp, preschool, kindergarten and our afterschool programs.
  • Hospital Assistance Program: Each Year, the JCC provides more than 125 temporary free memberships to out-of-town families with a loved one receiving treatment at Primary Children’s Hospital, the Huntsman Cancer Institute, Shriners Hospital for Children or the University Hospital.
  • Refugee Scholarship Program: 42 children enrolled in the Refugee Scholarship Program from Sudan, Congo, Jordan, Somalia, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Each received full scholarships to attend summer camp, lunch and transportation to and from their community.
